We are pleased to announce that Stacey Austinson of Xaxl'ip, and Nora Greenway of T'it'qet have been hired as our Education and Training Program Developers.Stacey and Nora will be administering a needs assessment survey as a key component of the Labor Market Study. The SGS is assisting in building capacity to capitalize on the local labor market by developing programs and services to help community members improve their educational outcomes and realize contracting and career aspirations.They will focus on specific educational and training requirments, including elements directed at high school curriculums and retention; post-secondary programs; apprenticeship opportunities and professional development.The Community Needs Assessment work will be completed by April 2012, and will provide key information into the Labor Market Study which is expected to be completed in the fall of this year.We are excited to have Stacey and Nora on board, and to get this phase completed.
